On the morning of April 21, 2022, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh
Minh chaired the national online conference on implementation of the National
Target Program on new rural development and sustainable poverty reduction, in
the period 2021 - 2025.

at the bridge point of Binh Thuan province, there were Vice Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong; leaders of relevant
departments, agencies, districts, towns and cities.

In the period of 2021
- 2025, our country implemented the goal of reducing poverty in a multi-dimensional,
inclusive and sustainable manner to limite re-poorness and poverty generation;
supporting the poor and poor households to rise above the minimum standard of
living, to access basic social services according to the national
multidimensional poverty line in order to improve the quality of life;
supporting poor districts and communes with special difficulties in the
lowlands, coastal areas and islands to get rid of poverty, especial difficult
situations. Specifically, the rate of poor households according to the
multidimensional poverty line maintained the decrease of 1.0 - 1.5%/year; the
rate of poor ethnic minority households decreased by over 3.0%/year; the rate
of poor households in poor districts decreased by 4-5%/year; reduced 30% of
poor districts, 30% of extremely difficult communes in the lowlands, coastal
areas and islands to get rid of poverty, especial difficult situations.
Speaking at the
Conference, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh said that: In
recent years, the ministries and agencies have timely and fully focused on
developing legal documents, criteria and guidelines for the implementation of
the National Target Program. Accordingly, in the coming time, localities are
required to carefully study the guiding documents of the Central Government to
promulgate proactively documents concretizing the guidelines of the Central
Government; prioritize budget allocation, maximize legal capital sources for
implementation; actively apply information technology, digital transformation,
propaganda to ensure the effective implementation of national target
programs......
