Consumer price index of April increased insignificantly

to the latest data from the Provincial Statistics Office, the consumer price
index (CPI) of April increased by 0.02% over the previous month, by 3.8% over
the same period last year and by 1.23% over the previous December. Average CPI
in the first 4 months increased by 3.62% over the same period last year.
Compared to the
previous month, in 11 main consumer goods and services, there were 7 groups
that increase in price: Housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction
materials increased by 0.41%; Household equipment and appliances increased by
0.23%; Other goods and services increased by 0.17%; Beverages and tobacco increased
by 0.11%; Education increased by 0.03%; Culture, entertainment and tourism
increased by 0.03%; Medicines and medical services 0.02%. There were 3 groups that
decrease in price: Traffic decreased by 0.57%; Food and food services decreased
by 0.04%; Apparel, hats and footwear decreased by 0.04%. There was 1 group
remains stable in price: Posts and telecommunications.
From the beginning of
the year to now, the average consumer price index in the first four months of
the year has increased by 3.62% over the same period. The main reason is that
gasoline prices have adjusted 10 times and increased by approximately 49% over
the same period last year, causing an increase in the overall CPI./.
