(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Ministry of Health has just allocated 46,800 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Binh Thuan province to deploy COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12-17.

With the number of vaccines distributed as above, the Department of Health will deploy firstly the vaccination for children aged 16-17. Based on the number of children aged 16-17 that have been counted by localities (42,799 children), the Provincial Center for Disease Control will allocate an appropriate number of vaccines to each locality. As this is a special type of vaccine for children, the Department of Health notes that after administering the injection, if there is any remaining, the localities must promptly report to the Department to coordinate these vaccines to the other subjects.

Regarding the method of vaccination, it will be organized in the form of campaign vaccination at fixed vaccination facilities (Medical Stations, Medical Centers, Hospitals), at schools and mobile injection points, without limitation of the number of people injecting in a vaccination session, maximizing the capacity of vaccination sites.

For children going to school, the vaccination will be carried out at the school or at the appropriate injection site selected by the educational institutions to ensure vaccination safety and epidemic prevention.

For children not going to school, the vaccination will be made at the fixed or mobile injection sites in the area selected by the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities.

For children with underlying diseases, the vaccination will be carried out at general hospitals or medical centers with pediatrics.

For children who are inpatients at the general hospitals or medical centers with pediatrics, a list of children aged 12 to 17 years old at the time of vaccination (including children with the residential address outside of localities or other provinces and cities) will be made for vaccination according to current regulations of the Ministry of Health./.
