Cultural activities and the "Journey to the Origins" attract a large number of tourists

According to the Binh Thuan Provincial Museum, in the first nine months of
2024, the museum organized a variety of exhibitions and displays in celebration
of major national and provincial holidays and anniversaries, attracting nearly
185,000 visitors, including 7,985 international visitors. This performance
exceeded the planned target by 8% and represented a 17.5% increase compared to
the same period last year.
Notably,
the museum featured various activities, including Cham folk art performances
for tourists and local residents during the 2024 New Year and Lunar New Year
holidays; a themed exhibition titled “The Land and People of Binh Thuan” at the
Pô Sah Inư Tower; an exhibition of award-winning paintings about local cultural
heritage at schools; classes on the transmission of intangible cultural
heritage of ethnic minorities; and the launch of the project 'Building an open
collection model of the Cham Royal Cultural Heritage in Bac Binh district,
connecting with Cham cultural heritage tourism journeys in the locality' under
Project 6, titled “Preserving and Promoting the Traditional Cultural Values of
Ethnic Minorities in Connection with Tourism Development” in 2024.
Additionally,
the Provincial Museum has carried out the collection of documents, images, and
artifacts related to natural resources, archaeology, ethnic cultures, the
resistance against the French and Americans, and the renovation period. To
date, the collection efforts have met 100% of the assigned targets. At the same
time, the museum has inspected the management of relics, artifacts, and
antiques, as well as the organization of festivals at ranked heritage sites
across the province. Moreover, preparations are underway for exhibitions and
displays, as well as for the announcement ceremony of the national treasure
recognition for the golden Linga discovered at the Pô Dam Tower (Phú Lạc, Tuy
Phong), which will take place during the Katê Festival in early October".

Notably,
the “Journey to the Origins” activities organized by the Management Board of
the Provincial Party Committee Base Relic Site attracted a significant number
of visitors for sightseeing, learning, and experiencing. As a result, the
Management Board hosted and served 15,845 visitors out of a planned 10,000,
surpassing the target by 58%, with 177 groups, mainly visitors from within the
province, the majority of whom were students from various schools in the
region.
