Deploying food safety work during the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival 2023 in Binh Thuan province

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Recently,
the Provincial Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene has
issued a plan to deploy food safety assurance during the Lunar New Year and
Spring Festival 2023 in the province.
Common goals of the
plan: Ensuring food safety in the production, processing, trading, importation
and use of foods; strengthening control and timely preventing the production
and trading of fake and poor quality foods; ensuring the interests of
consumers; preventing food poisoning during the Lunar New Year and the Spring
Festival 2023.
Specific goals of the
plan: Minimizing food poisoning cases during the Lunar New Year and Spring
Festival 2023; strengthening inter-sectoral inspection and examination from the
provincial, district and commune levels; focusing on product groups that are
consumed a lot during Tet and festivals with high risk factors, food processing
villages, densely populated areas; mobilizing maximum communication channels to
disseminate the provisions of the law on food safety as well as knowledge in
food selection, preservation, processing and consumption to the people.
Accordingly, the plan
will be carried out from now until the end of March 12, 2023 with the scope
throughout the province.
