The promotion of drowning prevention and control and the strengthening of children
protection are important tasks that the education sector is paying attention
to, especially during the time when students are preparing for summer vacation
and during the summer holidays.

Thuan strives that by 2025, 60% of children from 6 to under 16 years old knows
safety skills in water, knows how to swim safely, and by 2030, this will
increase to 70%. Reducing the number of children dying from drowning by 10% by
2025 and 20% by 2030 compared with 2020.
