Duc Linh district launches activities on prevention and control of tobacco harms

With the goal of strengthening the enforcement of the Law on Prevention and
Control of Tobacco Harms and smoke-free environment in the district. Reducing
demand, gradually reducing the supply of tobacco products to reduce the risk of
illness and death from tobacco use and secondhand smoke inhalation. Duc Linh
District People's Committee has implemented a series of activities to prevent
and control the harmfulness of tobacco.
Accordingly, the main
contents are to propagate and disseminate the activities of preventing and
fighting the harmfulness of tobacco; Law on prevention and control of tobacco
harms and relevant documents; the harmfulness of tobacco on health and other
relevant diseases; praising collectives and individuals that well implement the
smoke-free models.
Inspecting and
strictly handling acts of smuggling, trading in fake, counterfeit cigarettes
and illegally trading tobacco products, the implementation of regulations on
banning advertising, promotion and sponsorship on tobacco in any form.
