Control, Search and Rescue, from October 7 to 18, heavy rain occurred in Duc
Linh district due to the combined influence of the circulation of typhoon No.
8, the southwest monsoon with moderate to strong intensity, a lot of water flowed
from Duc Phu, Nghi Duc communes - Tanh Linh district and upstream areas, the
water level of La Nga river rises high so that in-field water cannot escape,
causing inundation in some areas of newly sown rice from 3 to 15 days old and
rice under cultivation in some fields of the communes: Da Kai, Sung Nhon, Me
Pu, Vu Hoa, Duc Tin, Tan Ha, Tra Tan and Duc Tai - Duc Linh district. In
addition, from 09:00 on October 15, 2021, Ham Thuan hydropower reservoir
regulated water through the spillway with a flow of 25 m3/s, adding up with the
daily flow of generators (24/24). 24h) at 125 m3/s has kept the river water
level at a high level, the flooded water in the production fields cannot be
drained into the river.
As of October 18, 2021, the total
flooded area is 1,253.1 ha. In which, Da Kai: 107 ha, Sung Nhon: 502.1 ha, Me
Pu: 110 ha, Vo Xu: 158.5 ha, Vu Hoa: 231 ha, Duc Tai: 50.5 ha, Duc Tin: 62 ha, Tan
Ha: 12 ha, and Tra Tan: 20 ha of rice. Estimated value of damage is nearly 10
billion VND.
After the occurrence of floods and
inundation, Duc Linh District People's Committee has inspected directly and
directed the District Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control,
Search and Rescue to coordinate with specialized divisions, committees,
People's Committees of communes, townships, and village management boards to
conduct the inspection of flooded areas, and guide, discuss remedial measures
to minimize damages.
