Effective operation of Long Dien I Agricultural Business and Service Cooperative

Cooperative was established in 1979, with 425 members, mainly engaged in
agricultural services and fertilizer trading. The total management and
cultivation area is 349.7 ha, of which 265.2 ha is for rice cultivation, the
rest is for dragon fruit and other crops.
For sustainable
development, in 2018 Long Dien I Agricultural Business and Service Cooperative
switched to cultivation of new rice varieties, in 2019 promoting the features
of new rice varieties for high yield and high price. In addition, the Cooperative
also links the local milling factories to consume specialty rice and other
types of rice; Signing offtake contracts with each member household to consume
rice products at a higher price than other rice varieties (from 500 to 700
VND/kg). In the period (2016 - 2020), the Cooperative has consumed 2,020.5 tons
of rice, profit is increased when cultivating other rice varieties (from 2 to 3
million VND/ha).
With the profits
earned, every year, Long Dien I Agricultural Business and Service Cooperative
organizes visits and presents gifts to the families of war invalids and
martyrs; contributes to the gratitude fund, the fund for the poor, study
promotion fund; supports unions and schools; regular supports 04 poor and
disabled members, living alone; visits household members in difficult
circumstances...
