Efficiency from digital transformation application in 3D exhibition activities at Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch

Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch is a major historical and cultural
work of Binh Thuan province, where educating revolutionary traditions of the
people of Binh Thuan ethnic groups. Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch is located
in Phan Thiet city, next to the Ca Ty river, it is a complex of historical and
cultural works including:
- Duc Thanh School relic,
where Nguyen Tat Thanh (President Ho Chi Minh) taught from September 1910 to
February 1911. Duc Thanh School relic was recognized by the Ministry of Culture
and Information as a cultural and historical relic under Decision No. 235 QD/BT
dated April 12, 1986.
- The exhibition house on
President Ho Chi Minh, it was built next to the relic area with new
architecture, introducing the main features of President Ho Chi Minh's life and
career, President Ho Chi Minh's feelings for Binh Thuan people, the love and
gratitude of Binh Thuan people to him.
Implementing the Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee
(Term XIV) on digital transformation to 2025, orientation to 2030; Plan No.
1282/KH-UBND dated May 4, 2022 to implement Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU of the
Provincial Party Committee (Term XIV) on digital transformation to 2025,
orientation to 2030; Official Dispatch No. 3809/BVHTTDL- DSVH dated October 14,
2021 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on promoting digital
transformation and building a coordination program with the education and
training sector in museum activities; at the same time to improve the quality
and operational efficiency of Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch. Binh
Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed the Ho Chi Minh Museum
- Binh Thuan Branch to develop a plan to promote digital transformation,
increase the application of scientific achievements of the 4.0 industrial
revolution in the operation of Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch, enabling
everyone with just a mobile phone, a tablet or a computer with internet
connection to freely explore online anytime and anywhere around the world about
Ho Chi Minh Museum – Binh Thuan Branch. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh
Thuan Branch has applied 3D technology to introduce the Museum on www.
binhthuan.hochiminh.vn which allows users to observe the whole view and details
of the museum with audio commentary (users can customize viewing navigation;
turn on or off the audio narration, background music); includes 3 main sections:

(2) Duc Thanh relic: includes vivid
3D images (Paraview of Duc Thanh School, school gate, school yard, classroom,
Nguyen Thong’s worship house, Fisherman's house, reading room, star fruit tree,
water well) .

Users
only need to click on the places they want to visit marked on the screen, they
will be provided with vivid 3D images, accompanied by voiceovers.

(3) The
exhibition house on President Ho Chi Minh includes vivid 3D images (Panoramic
view of exhibition house, Statue of Uncle Ho with children, Exhibition house,
solemn hall, it is arranged in 8 blocks divided into 8 topics according to
Uncle Ho's activities, the last is the traditional room). At the toolbar, users
can click on the icons to view each topic and be explained.

Currently, the application of 3D technology for developing "Virtual
Museum" is not new, but for the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch, it
is a big change in thinking and awareness for application of science and
technology in the professional activities of the museum. It is expected that in
the coming time, continuing to promote the results achieved Ho Chi Minh Museum
- Binh Thuan Branch will further promote digital transformation activities to catch
up with the current development trend and meet the urers’ needs on learning and
enjoying.
