Ensure adequate human resources for mass screening tests

the evening of 15/8/2021, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee -
Nguyen Minh had a meeting with the Provincial Center for Disease Control on the
preparation of the mass COVID-19 screening test.
Reporting at the
meeting, the provincial Center for Disease Control will increase the capacity
of testing for COVID-19 by PCR method from 1,000 pooled samples to 5,000 pooled
samples of 10 per day. This number corresponds to sampling 50,000 people/day. The
testing machine systems at La Gi Regional General Hospital, Northern Binh Thuan
and Southern Binh Thuan General Hospitals perform 200 pooled samples per unit
per day. Particularly, the testing machine system of Binh Thuan Provincial
General Hospital can take 250 pooled samples/day.
At the meeting, the
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has requested the Provincial
Center for Disease Control to undertake the screening test for the whole
province; other medical units shall undertake PCR testing for the blockade, and
isolation areas for F0 cases.
To ensure the human
resources, the Vice Chairman of the PPC requests the Provincial Center for
Disease Control to quickly advise the Department of Health to submit to the
Provincial People's Committee for additional manpower; at the same time,
requests localities to review human resources and plans for officially
launching the screening tests on this Tuesday, 17/8./.
