Ensuring food safety and preventing food poisoning in the province during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2023

(binhthuan.gov.vn) To ensure food safety and prevent food
poisoning in the province during the Lunar New Year and Spring Festival 2023, the
Department of Health has sent an official request to the Health Centers to
advise the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to conduct well
the following:
Organizing fully and synchronously the Plan No.
4301/KH-BCDLNATTP dated December 16, 2022 of the Provincial Inter-Sectoral
Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene on the implementation of the food
safety on the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival 2023 in Binh Thuan
province.
Closely coordinating with functional agencies to
organize and deploy information, propaganda and education on food safety
assurance and disease prevention for all groups of producers, traders and consumers
before, during the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival 2023. Focusing on
propagandizing measures to ensure food safety, prevent food contamination,
especially measures for food hygiene and personal hygiene in order to raise
awareness, change unsafe behaviours and habits in choosing, preserving,
processing and using food and preventing food poisoning.
Detecting early violations of food safety, resolutely
handling violations and products that violate food safety in accordance with
the law. Taking suspension of operation, revocation of Certificate of
eligibility for food safety, Certificate of business registration and transferring
to the investigation agency to prosecute those establishments producing and
trading food with serious and recurrent violations. Publicizing those violations
and results of settlements on the media to promptly warn other producers,
traders and the community./.
