Ensuring safety for construction works during the stormy season

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to respond proactively, promptly and effectively, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters during the stormy season, the Department of Construction has asked construction project investors in the province to prepare solutions for environmental protection, safe response plan for people, structures and vehicles; surface water drainage measures when technical infrastructure works have not been completed.
For projects that have been put into operation, there must be a plan to inspect and dredge the drainage system in the project area to ensure that flooding and landslides will not occur during the rainy and stormy season.
Investors must appoint staffs to monitor developments in the project area 24/24 during heavy rains, promptly reporting to functional agencies and local authorities to coordinate in handling when detecting any risk of unsafety in the project area. At the same time, continue to implement plans for natural disaster prevention and rescue, and continue to follow the motto "04 on-sites" (on-site command, on-site forces, and on-site facilities, on-site supports) during the stormy season.
In case investors do not fully comply with the requirements, the Department of Construction will direct the Department Inspectorate to consider and handle according to the provisions of law.
