Ensuring traffic safety on highways passing through Binh Thuan province

Recently, the Project Management Board 7 and contractors have completed the
construction of the additional transformer station system and electrical
connection procedures at intersections of Vinh Hao, Cho Lau, Dai Ninh, Ma Lam,
Phan Thiet and the roads connecting to National Road 1A under the Vinh Hao -
Phan Thiet section construction investment component project to serve the
lighting system during the Lunar New Year 2024 under the direction of the
Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province.
However, according to reports from construction contractors, the theft of
materials, electrical equipment and other project assets such as barbed wire
fences, anti-glare panels... continuously occurs.

Long Project Management Board - the Ministry of Transport also said that after
the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway project came into operation, there has
been a phenomenon of people arbitrarily cutting and opening the barbed wire
fences and theft of assets and materials of the transformer stations, ...
leading to the risk of loss of safety during operations. Thang Long Project
Management Board has urged units to urgently fix the problem to ensure safety
during operations in the Lunar New Year 2024. However, there is still a
situation where people arbitrarily dismantled the barbed wire fences to access
the expressway.
Faced
with that situation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen
Hong Hai assigns the Provincial Public Security to chair over and coordinate
with agencies, units and localities to direct relevant forces to inspect and
review the reports of the Project Manager Board 7 and Thang Long Project
Management Board for investigation and strictly handling according to legal
regulations; at the same time, taking measures to ensure security, order and
traffic safety in the above areas.
The
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requests the Project
Management Board 7 and Thang Long Project Management Board to urgently take
timely measures to ensure traffic safety on the expressway and coordinate with
the Provincial Public Security to review, evaluate and compile damages for
strict handling.
The
People's Committees of districts, towns and cities where the 02 expressways
passing through shall strengthen propaganda and dissemination of relevant legal
regulations to help people to understand the risks of traffic insecurity,
especially on the 02 expressways; at the same time, direct the police force to
strengthen inspection, control, monitoring, and promptly prevent the situation
of people arbitrarily cutting and opening barbed wire fences, theft of property
and supplies... on 02 expressways passing through the province.
