In the past time, agencies, units and localities in the province have promoted
propaganda for people and businesses about Regulations on management and use of
geographical indication "Binh Thuan" used for dragon fruit according
to Decision No. 76/2015/QD-UBND dated December 25, 2015 of the Provincial
People's Committee.
At the same time,
organized trade promotion activities connecting trade for Binh Thuan Dragon
Fruit Association and enterprises. Thereby, the enterprises have the
opportunity to promote their brands and products, access the market, place
their products into distribution, and consume them at supermarkets, convenience
stores, traditional markets, and points of sale to serve customers, tourists
... not only in the province but also in other provinces and cities such as
Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, provinces and cities in the Central Highlands and
Southeast...
In the coming time,
relevant departments and agencies will coordinate with localities in
propagating and disseminating dragon fruit processing, trading and exporting
enterprises about the geographical indication "Binh Thuan" used for
dragon fruit. Mobilizing people and businesses to actively register the right
to use the geographical indication "Binh Thuan". Supporting the
Dragon Fruit Association to register for trademark protection and geographical
indication "Binh Thuan" used for dragon fruit in other countries and
territories.
Continuing to
evaluate the conditions and capacity to use the geographical indication
"Binh Thuan" used for dragon fruit of organizations and individuals
applying or renewing the Certificate of the right to use the geographical
indication.
