Exporting enterprises in the province need to regulate goods to Huu Nghi international border gate, Lang Son province

 

 

 (binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Department of Industry and Trade, from May 23, 2023, the number of vehicles carrying goods to the Huu Nghi international border gate area, Lang Son province increased sharply due to the export of Vietnamese durian products is in the harvest season. Faced with that situation, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone has strengthened coordination with functional forces at the border gate and traffic police to regulate vehicles from inland to border gate in the direction of making the most of border gate infrastructure, limiting parking on National Highways, but ensuring smooth cargo clearance; at the same time, talking with the General Department of Taxation and Protection of Pingxiang, China agreed to extend the customs clearance time of the day to 20:00 (Hanoi time) and continue to ask the Chinese side to coordinate to regulate durian products via the Tan Thanh (Vietnam) - Po Chai (China) border gate to reduce the pressure on the Huu Nghi international border gate.

 

However, by May 26, 2023, the total number of vehicles waiting for export through Huu Nghi international border gate was 605 vehicles, of which 185 were waiting at the border gate. By May 27, 2023, there were 430 vehicles parked on National Highway 1A, the number of vehicles parked outside the border gate area extended through Lang Son city. It is forecasted that in the near future, vehicles carrying durian products from provinces and cities across the country will continue to flock to Huu Nghi international border gate for export.

 

Therefore, in order to ensure export activities, especially agricultural products, fresh fruits as well as Binh Thuan dragon fruit through the border gates of Lang Son province and other border gates, the opening paths of the northern provinces conveniently, avoiding congestion of export vehicles and goods, causing damage to businesses and farmers, the Department of Industry and Trade has proposed the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Management Board of the Provincial Industrial Parks, the Provincial Cooperatives Alliance, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit Association urgently to announce the current situation of exporting goods through Huu Nghi international border gate, Lang Son province to enterprises and cooperatives having export activities to the Chinese market through border gates in Lang Son province as well as border gates and opening paths in northern provinces to know, proactively circulating goods to the border gates in the north and Huu Nghi international border gate, strictly complying with regulations on regulation of cargo trucks waiting for export of the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son border gate economic zone to ensure security, order and traffic safety.

 

Enterprises and cooperatives for processing and exporting dragon fruits in the province should regulate properly goods to Huu Nghi international border gate to avoid incurring additional storage costs. Actively monitoring and grasping the customs clearance situation at Huu Nghi international border gate and other border gates in Lang Son province as well as the northern provinces to regulate vehicles and prepare reasonable production and export plans. Considering, selecting, switching modes of transport, export other than road such as railway or export through the border gates of Quang Ninh, Lao Cai and Cao Bang provinces to minimize waiting time, minimize the risk of damaged goods. In which, attention should be paid to strictly implement the regulation of functional forces of Lang Son province to solve congestion; properly and fully declaring customs clearance procedures as prescribed; ensuring the quality of exported goods and making effective use of the clearance time of the day, especially the morning time (from 07-09 o'clock) to increase customs clearance efficiency.
