Focusing on development of aquaculture and fishing in association with processing

By the end of 2022, the whole province has 1,940 fishing vessels with the
length of 15 m or more having quotas for offshore fishing licenses and 5,580 vessels
having quotas for coastal fishing licenses. Due to unfavorable weather for fishing
activities, in 2022 our province's fishing output only reached 231,380 tons,
reaching 110.2% of the year plan and equaling to 100.6% of 2021.
Continuing
to install the cruise monitoring device (VMS) on fishing vessels, as of
December 31, 2022, the whole province has 1,922 fishing vessels / 1,933 fishing
vessels with the length of 15m or more in operation and installed the cruise
monitoring device (VMS), reached 99.4%. The registration of fishing vessels is
carried out regularly; In 2022, registering and checking technical safety for
3,416 vessels/3,896 registered vessels, reaching 87.7%. Continuing to maintain
the operation of 129 solidarity groups/982 vessels/4,910 workers and 05
fisheries unions…
In
addition to fishing at sea, our province also develops aquaculture in
association with environmental management and disease prevention in aquaculture
areas. The province's aquaculture production in 2022 reached 11,840 tons, increased
by 2.3% over the same period. Shrimp seed production activities associated with
quarantine, analysis and testing of samples are maintained regularly; shrimp
seed production in the province is relatively favorable; shrimp seed production
in 2022 reached 25.8 billion posts, reaching 103.2% of the plan, increased by 2.8%
compared to 2021.
Seafood
processing activities are maintained regularly, serving the needs of people's
consumption and export. In 2022, the output of processed aquatic products in
our province was 61,200 tons, reaching 110.3% of the plan, increased by 11.1%
over the same period in 2021.
