Heavy rain and tornado ripped off houses in Bac Binh district

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster
Prevention, Search and Rescue has just released the damages caused by heavy
rain and strong winds in Song Binh commune, Bac Binh district.
Specifically,
in the afternoon of August 25, there was rain and strong wind in Song Binh
commune, Bac Binh district, the heavy rain and local whirlwinds blew off the
roofs of 02 houses; 01 warehouse of 03 households and broke 01 concrete
electric pole in Tan Binh village, Song Binh commune.
According
to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural
Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, due to heavy rains accompanied by local
whirlwinds occurring quickly and within a small area, the command and response
works could not be carried out in time. After the natural disaster occurred and
caused damages, the District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention,
Search and Rescue directed the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster
Prevention and Search and Rescue of Song Binh commune to mobilize local forces,
together with damaged households to promptly overcome the consequences to
stable their lives.
The
Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster
Prevention, Search and Rescue requested the People's Committee of Bac Binh
district to direct the Division of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to
coordinate with Song Binh commune to compile statistics, verify, assess the
damage situation and propose a support plan for damaged main houses. At the
same time, increase warning information and forecasts on natural disasters such
as: heavy rain, floods, thunderstorms, tornadoes, landslides so that people can
proactively respond, and reinforce the house roofs to minimize damage caused by
natural disasters.
