High in dengue fever cases

Along with respiratory diseases, seasonal diseases, the number of new cases of
dengue fever is continuously recorded at medical facilities in the area.
According to Binh
Thuan Department of Health, up to this point, the province has recorded more
than 1260 cases of dengue fever, 6.4 times higher than the same period in 2022;
dengue fever cases are concentrated in 03 districts: Ham Thuan Nam, Bac Binh
and Ham Thuan Bac, accounting for 58.4% of the total cases in the province. The
number of new dengue fever cases is currently recorded in all 10/10 districts,
towns and cities in the area.
Currently, the
group of children under 15 years old is the main group of dengue fever
patients, accounting for over 62%. Although the peak period of dengue fever has
passed, but with unusual weather changes, the number of new cases is expected
to maintain an upward trend in the near future.
In order to
prevent dengue fever, people need to raise their awareness; strictly abide the
epidemic prevention and control measures such as: actively cleaning the
environment; actively participate in the collection of waste containing water,
places where larvae and mosquitoes develop and put fishes into the tanks, tools
containing domestic water; coordinate in spraying chemicals to kill mosquitoes
to prevent and control dengue fever…./.
