Hung Kings Ancestral Festival in 2023

Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the Hung Kings
Ancestral Festival in 2023 at Hung Vuong Temple, Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong
district.
Accordingly, the incense offering ceremony of the Hung Kings will begin at
08:00 am on April 29, 2023 (e.i, March 10, lunar calendar). Tuy Phong District People's Committee is the host. During the
ceremony, the Organizing Committee will perform rituals such as bowing to the
sages, palanquin procession, incense offering, and great sacrifices according
to traditional customs. The festival will have folk games, cultural activities
and arts of people in Tuy Phong district. This year's festival will have the
contribution of the People's Committees of 02 districts, namely Phu Quy
district and Bac Binh district.
As planned, the Hung Kings Ancestral Festival is held in the
spirit of thrift, healthy, practical towards the origin and ancestors; attracting
a large number of officials, people and religious organizations in districts,
towns and cities in the province, respectfully offering incense to pay tribute
to the merits of the Hung Kings who have contributed to the construction of the
country and the forebears who had merits to protect the country. Satisfying
the needs of people in the province to enjoy culture; contributing to the
education of traditions and ethics "When drinking water, remember its
source", love for the motherland and country to generations, especially
the younger generation. At the same time, contributing to consolidate and
strengthen the solidarity, attachment and harmony among the communities and
ethnic groups in the province; serving the production, construction and defense
of the country.
