Implementation of the "Primary school friendly library" program

On the afternoon of April 22, the Department of Education and Training held a
meeting to implement the "Primary school friendly library" program to
provide technical support for primary schools in the province.
It is known that, since
2015, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Room to Read Organization
have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the "Primary
School-Friendly Library" Program for the period 2016-2020. Up to 2018,
after 3 years of implementation, 222 libraries has been established, exceeding
the target of 12 libraries as committed. In the year 2019 - 2020, the program
continued to operate at 222 libraries established in the period 2016 - 2018 and
deployed more in 8 provinces (Lang Son, Ca Mau, Hoa Binh, Cao Bang, Quang Ngai,
Phu Yen, Dak Nong, Dong Thap).
Specifically, in Binh
Thuan province, the Room to Read Organization will implement the Program in 3
phases (preparation phase, opening phase and operation phase) within 2 years
from 2022 to 2024. After going into operation, the program will contribute to
change the community's perception of the role of the primary school library;
develop reading habits and educational activities; raise up capacity for schools
