Improving the quality of Binh Thuan dragon fruit products

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to improve the quality of Binh Thuan
dragon fruit products for ensuring food safety, and serving the requirements of
domestic consumption and export, the Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee signed and promulgated the Decision approving the program on dragon
fruit production under VietGAP standards in 2022 in the province.
Accordingly, in 2022,
cooperative groups and associate groups of dragon fruit production;
enterprises, cooperatives, farms, households and individuals growing dragon
fruit in the province strive to develop the area of dragon fruit under VietGap
standards to 11,900 ha.
To achieve the above
goal, the Departments, agencies and localities shall focus on propagandizing
and guiding farmers to register and build cooperative groups/associated groups,
cooperatives to produce dragon fruits according to the proper VietGAP standards.
On the basis of the allocated area, to mobilize and guide farmers to build
cooperative groups and cooperatives on dragon fruit production under VietGAP
standards with reasonable size to facilitate the management and organization of
deploying production activities and linking product consumption in the future.
