to the Statistics Office, in August, enterprises in the processing and
manufacturing industries had high growth; The mining industry increased sharply
due to continued speeding up the construction progress of the North-South
expressway in the east, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section. Products such as
seafood, garments, beverages, mining construction materials, etc. had high
growth, contributing to maintain the growth rate of the whole industry.
Industrial production
index of the whole industry in August increased by 21.77% over the same period
in 2021; in which, the mining industry increased by 70.62%; manufacturing and
processing industry increased by 41.05%; the production and distribution of electricity,
gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners increased by 14.48%; water supply,
waste and wastewater treatment and management activities increased by 4.52%.
Production products
in 8 months that increased over the same period include: sand and gravel of all
kinds increased by 6.10%; construction stone increased by 53.04%; bricks of all
kinds increased by 23.99%; dried seafood increased by 31.57%; frozen seafood
increased by 55.40%; dried seafood increased by 26.26%; fish sauce increased by
6.32%; cashew kernels increased by 66.03%; ready-made clothes increased by
34.07%; preliminary processing of rubber caps increased by 9.73%; mineral water
(excluding pure mineral water) increased by 8.08%; produced tap water increased
by 3.77%; animal feed increased by 10.03%; shoes and sandals of all kinds
increased by 4.75%. Production products that decreased include: electricity
production declined by 15.16%; Grain salt decreased by 17.18%; furniture and
wood products increased by 3.31%.
