Initial effectiveness of F0 treatment at home

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Starting from middle of November, with the number of COVID-19 cases increasing rapidly and spreading to many localities in the province, the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control (the PSC) has deployed the plan on management and treatment of mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 infections across the province. This is considered as a safe, flexible and effective adaptation solution for people infected with COVID-19.

According to the guidance from the PSC, the F0s cared for and treated at home are those having no symptoms or mild symptoms. At the same time, there must be at least one of the following criteria: having received 2 full doses of COVID-19 vaccine or 1 dose for 14 days; children over 1 year old; adults under 50 years of age with no underlying medical conditions; non-pregnant people. Home-treated F0s must also be able to take care of themselves, be able to contact medical staff when their health condition get worse, need emergency...

According to the Department of Health, after 1 month of implementing the plan on management and treatment of mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 infections across the province, as of afternoon on December 11, 2021, nearly 570 cases of COVID-19 treated at home are cured.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health - Dang Thuc Anh Vu said: In the coming time, the mobile medical stations and mobile medical teams will strengthen on monitoring of patients treated at home. If the patient has severe symptoms, they must be promptly taken to medical facilities for treatment. The health sector will also strengthen the supply and distribution of medicines to patients treated at home in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Health./.
