to the Division of Tourism Management - Department of Culture, Sports and
Tourism, on the holidays of April 30 and May 01 this year (from April 30 to May
03), Binh Thuan province is estimated to welcome about 80,000 visitors.
Most of them are
domestic tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Khanh
Hoa, Hanoi and the southwestern provinces. This year's holiday travel trend is
guests with families, groups of friends and individual travelers by private
vehicles. Besides, there are also a smaller number of tourists taking tours to
Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan through travel agencies.
Aggregate data from
tourist accommodation establishments in the province, 1 - 5 star and equivalent
accommodation establishments have an average room capacity in 4 public holidays
is 80-95%. Particular for April 30 and May 01, room occupancy is quite high,
1-2 star hotels reach about 85% room capacity, of which some hotels are almost
full such as Co Thach Village, Coco Legend, Hello, May Bungalow Anami, Bao
Luan, Suoi Nuoc, Binh Minh, Thanh Thao, Havana... For hotels and resorts from
3-5 star and equivalent, the room capacity has reached nearly 100%.
This is a good sign
for the province's tourism industry. This is also the time when Binh Thuan
tourism responds to the reopening to welcome international visitors, launches
the summer tourist season and participates in the domestic tourism stimulus
program.
