La Gi urgently to complete the review of poor and near-poor households

out the review of poor and near-poor households effectively and on schedule; avoiding
the allocation of the poverty line, forcing households to escape poverty to
achieve the target, the review results not reflecting the real situation of
poverty in the town, leading to the omission of subjects, Chairman of the
People's Committee of La Gi commune has just requested relevant agencies and
the People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen the direction and
guidance of the review of poor and near-poor households in 2021 and to conduct
the general review of poor and near-poor households in the period of 2022-2025.
In which, it is required to strictly
implement the process and method of reviewing and classifying poor and
near-poor households according to regulations; guiding the application of
multidimensional poverty measurement criteria and indicators that is suitable
to each target group. During the implementation, the results of the review of
poor and near-poor households in the locality must be agreed upon by the people
in accordance with regulations, and publicly listed and announced.
In addition to the classification of
poor and near-poor households in the area, the development of specific support
solutions for each household on the basis of current poverty reduction policies
and the needs of poor and near-poor households, Chairman of People's Committee of
La Gi town also noted to relevant agencies and People's Committees of communes
and wards that the poverty reduction results can only be determined through the
annual review of poor and near-poor households in the locality rather than on the
planned goals.
