Latest guidance of the Ministry of Health on receiving people from Ho Chi Minh City

the situation of COVID-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City is still complicated and
unpredictable, continuing to spread rapidly to some neighboring localities, it
is necessary to take drastic and stronger actions soon to timely restrain,
repel and control the situation. Implementing the Notice no. 177/TB-VPCP dated
06/7/2021 of the Office of Government on announcing the conclusion of the Prime
Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the online meeting with Ho Chi Minh City and 7
provinces in the Southern key economic zones on COVID-19 epidemic prevention
and control; The Ministry of Health (Standing Body of the National Steering
Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control) has just sent an official letter
requesting the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to
conduct the followings:
For the People's
Committee of Ho Chi Minh City: to discuss with the People's Committees of
provinces and cities before sending people there, at the same time, arranging
transport vehicles to ensure the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and
control according to regulations.
For the People's
Committees of provinces and cities receiving people from Ho Chi Minh City: All
people coming from Ho Chi Minh City (except for cases from other provinces and
cities passing through Ho Chi Minh City without stopping) are considered as the
people having contact with the person in close contact with the confirmed
epidemic case, must carry out the medical isolation at home for 07 days from
the date arriving the locality, then conducting the self-monitoring of health
in the next 7 days. At the same time, it is necessary to conduct 3 tests on the
first, 3rd and 6th day of the medical isolation period at home.
During the
self-monitoring period, it is required to limit the contact with people around,
and not allowed to participate in any activity that gathers large number of
people. If there is any sign of fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath
or loss of taste, it must immediately notify the nearest medical facility for
prompt and proper instructions.
For the drivers of
vehicles transporting goods in and out of Ho Chi Minh City: they must comply
with epidemic prevention and control requirements under the guidance of the
Ministry of Health in the Dispatch no. 898/BYT-MT dated 02/7/2021 on guiding
the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic in freight transportation and
the Dispatch no. 4351/BYT-MT dated 28/5/2021 on strengthening the prevention
and control of COVID-19 epidemic in freight transportation./.
