Letter of appeal for support for people affected natural disasters

(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province has just sent an appeal letter to all people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, employees of agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists, and religious organizations in the province.

In the letter, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee stated that in recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3, the northern provinces have suffered heavy losses in terms of human lives and properties, and many infrastructure facilities have been severely damaged. Currently, many places are being cut off, many residential areas are isolated due to floods. More than ever, people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods are in dire need of attention and assistance from all levels, sectors, other localities, businesses, religions and the whole society... Under the direction of Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations, people, armed forces, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in localities are making every effort to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Responding to the call of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam with the spirit of providing the "highest and fastest" support to families affected by storms and floods. Implementing Plan No. 930, dated September 10, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on organizing the Launching Ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 3 and with the consent of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; in order to promote the spirit of "mutual love", "sharing food and clothes", promptly sharing feelings, supporting all resources, and encouraging people in areas affected by natural disasters, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organizes a campaign, calling for cooperation and financial contributions to help people in areas affected by natural disasters to quickly restore production and stabilize their lives.

Accordingly, each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and armed force in the province will donate an amount of money at least 01 (one) payday.

People from all classes of life, religious organizations, agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists in the province support according to their abilities and on a voluntary basis.

Previously, Binh Thuan province has allocated 1 billion VND from the provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Fund to support people affected by natural disasters and transferred it to the account of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
