Lunar New Year 2022: The whole province welcomed about 75,000 tourist arrivals

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of
Binh Thuan province, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2022, the employees
are entitled to 9 consecutive days off, from January 29 to the end of February
6, 2022. The province welcomed about 75,000 visitors (only for the 4th day of
Tet about 18,000 arrivals, on the 5th day of the New Year about 13,000
arrivals, on the 6th day of Tet about 9,000 arrivals).
Accordingly, the
majority of guests staying were domestic tourists and concentrated in the areas
of Ham Tien - Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, Tuy Phong. In the Ham
Tien - Mui Ne area, from the 2nd to the 4th of the Lunar New Year, most of the
4-5-star accommodation establishments had room capacity of 85-95%, the
remaining reached about 65-80%. Domestic tourists to Binh Thuan were mainly
groups of friends and families; the picnic tourists mainly focused on Hon Rom
and La Gi areas. Tourism businesses had actively developed discount programs to
stimulate tourism, implemented many new and attractive tourism product
packages, focusing on good service quality to attract tourists.
It can be seen that,
the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2022, due to the influence of Covid-19, the
province did not organize any cultural, artistic, physical training and sports
activities, so the atmosphere of Spring was not as exciting as every year.
However, tourism activities had made many positive changes. Most of the tourism
business units and tourism service providers in the key tourist areas of the
province had prepared well and served tourists quite well, the quality of
tourism products and services was guaranteed and strictly complied with
epidemic prevention and control. In addition, the tourism business establishments
in the area had well implemented the listing of prices and selling at the
listed prices./.
