localities to deploy many models of community agricultural extension with high
efficiency.
In crop production,
the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center has cooperated with localities to
implement the SRI improved rice intensification model toward organic and organic
by chain link. Accordingly, from the winter-spring crop 2019 - 2021, the Center
has transferred over 100 hectares of organic rice to Ham Thuan Bac and Bac Binh
districts; The results show that the average yield is 55 - 72 quintals/ha, 5 -
7% higher than the fields outside the model, the rice price is 200 - 250 VND/kg
higher than the market price, and the profit is 15 - 20% higher. In addition,
the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center also transferred 50 hectares of
organic rice production model by tray transplanting method with the amount of
seed 50 kg/ha, transplanted by machine to Duc Phu Cooperative, Tanh Linh
district; As a result, this rice variety gives an average yield of 64
quintals/ha, equivalent to or slightly lower than mass production, but the purchase
price is 1,500 VND/kg higher than the market; profit is 25% higher than mass
rice varieties.
