Many positive results in attracting people to health insurance

recent years, the health insurance fund has supported and ensured the benefits
for many patients in the province. Making efforts for the interests and health
of the people, the Provincial Social Security is trying to promote solutions to
increase health insurance coverage.
By the end of 2021 in
the context of many difficulties, Binh Thuan province has exceeded the target
of universal health insurance coverage assigned by the Prime Minister. However,
in the first months of 2022, the number of people participating in health
insurance decreased by 0.9% compared to December 2021; the province's overall
health insurance coverage rate was only 85.4% of the population, decreased
nearly 6.7% compared to the end of 2021. In most of the districts, towns and
cities, the number of people participating in health insurance has decreased.
However, by the end of the first quarter of 2022, the province had 1,000,775
people participating in health insurance, increased 9,852 people compared to
February 2022. Health insurance coverage rate increased to 86.7% of the
population; In the whole province, there were 9/10 district units having the
number of people participating in health insurance increased. This was a
positive signal that the solutions to increase health insurance coverage worked.
