Many solutions for the safe food supply chain

Currently, a safe food supply chain is understood as
the link and control of all stages from initial production to consumption such
as cultivation, breeding, fishing to collection, pre-processing and slaughter,
processing, packaging, transporting and distributing. All stages apply a
quality management program to control food safety throughout the entire chain,
ensuring traceability, and committing on food safety.
In
2022, the Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Management Sub-Department has built
and connected 5 models of safe agricultural and aquatic food supply chains with
a controlled output of 4,780 tons/year. Accumulated up to now, the
Sub-Department has built and connected 86 models of safe agricultural, forestry
and aquatic food supply chains with a controlled output of 197,753.7 tons/year;
Besides, the Sub-Department has also issued 72 certificates of products
participating in the safe food supply chain/ 57 establishments/ 436
agricultural, forestry and fishery food products.
In
order to build safe food supply chains and promote the connection between
supply and demand of agricultural and aquatic products, in the coming time, the
Sub-Department of Quality Management of Agro-Forestry-Fisheries will continue
to seriously implement the central and local management of food safety and
quality. Strengthening the dissemination and propagation of regulations and
policies on supporting the production of agricultural products promulgated by
the Government, the Ministry and the Provincial People's Committee, and
propagating the benefits and effectiveness when enterprises participating in
the chain; at the same time, propagandizing and mobilizing farmers and members
to actively participate in safe food production and business. Applying
regulations and policies in chain building to timely support part of the
funding for establishments participating tin the models; combining the methods
of traditional distribution and modern distribution to increase product
consumption.
