(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Department of Finance, goods for the Lunar New Year 2023 in Binh Thuan province had a very rich and abundant supply; especially at supermarkets, the prices of essential items had been stabilized. As a result, the local market price during Tet holiday was relatively stable, there were no major fluctuations, no shortage of goods or price hike.

 

In the days approaching the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023, businesses in the area had presented goods to the market with a large number of rich designs, contributing to stabilize prices in the market, supermarkets and traditional markets, stores.... The purchasing power in the days before Tet was slow, mainly focusing on fresh food products, cakes, candies, fruits, soft drinks, gift baskets...

 

Due to the various and abundant supply, the price of Tet goods this year in general did not have abnormal fluctuations. During the 28th to 30th of the Lunar New Year, the price of essential goods such as fresh pork was relatively stable, not increased due to the large supply. The price of pork butts sold at traditional markets was 110,000 VND/kg, pork belly was only 110,000 VND/kg, pork bones and legs was 90,000 VND/kg. The price of fresh flowers had cooled down compared to the first days of the Lunar New Year (25th to 27th Tet), with a reduction of 15%-20% such as: the medium potted chrysanthemum at 400,000 VND/pot (reduced 100,000 VND), gladiolus flowers at 60,000 - 100,000 VND/bundle (reduced 20,000 - 40,000 VND), potted yellow apricot flowers due to many flowers bloomed, the price was also quite soft. The price of fruits of all kinds did not increase due to plenty supply, and similarity to the confectionery products. Beverages and beers of all kinds had stable selling prices, not increasing compared to normal weekdays.

 

On the 2nd and 3rd of the Lunar New Year (January 23, 2023 - January 24, 2023), some stalls and markets reopened, the prices of items on sale such as green vegetables, tomatoes, and cucumbers were slightly increased due to the low quantity of goods, the price of seafood was increased because many fishermen have not returned (sliced mackerel was 400,000 - 450,000 VND/kg, cobia was 380,000 VND/kg), fresh pork was 110,000 - 120,000 VND depending on type, roasted pork was 400,000 VND/kg, fresh flowers chrysanthemum (large) was 80,000 VND/bundle, gladiolus flowers was 60,000 VND/bundle.
