Merger of Population and Family Planning Centers of districts and cities into Health Centers

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Starting from January 1, 2023, 10 district-level
Population and Family Planning Centers in the province will be officially merged
with district-level Health Centers. This merger is carried out in accordance
with Decision No. 2608 of the Provincial People's Committee issued on December
13, 2022.
Accordingly, the Centers for Population and Family
Planning of Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Phan Thiet, Phu Quy, Ham Thuan
Nam, La Gi, Ham Tan, Tanh Linh and Duc Linh will be merged into the Centers of
Health of district, town, city respectively. The district-level health centers
have the functions of providing professional and technical services in
preventive medicine, medical examination and outpatient treatment, screening,
consultation, food safety, population and other health care services as prescribed
by law; being under the professional, technical and professional guidance of the
provincial level health and population units.
The objectives of merging the district-level
Population and Family Planning Centers into the district-level Health Centers are
to perfect the health system towards leanness; to use efficiently the
facilities and equipment. Thereby improving the quality of people's health
care.
