More than 27,500 traffic violations detected through the surveillance camera system

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to the Traffic Police Department – the Provincial Public Security, after 1 year of operation (from February 3, 2021 to February 28, 2022), there were more than 27,500 cases of traffic safety violations detected by the traffic surveillance camera system on National Highway 1A, the section through Binh Thuan province.

Specifically, from February 3, 2021 to December 14, 2021, through the surveillance camera system, 26,163 violations were detected (including 2,393 passenger buses, 6,868 trucks and tractors, 16,880 cars, 22 other vehicles). The functional force stopped on-the-spot for sanctioning 5,492 cases and sent 31,091 notices of violations. The number of violation cases handled according to the violation notice was 2,733 cases.

In the first 2 months of 2022 (from December 15, 2021 to February 28, 2022), through the surveillance camera system, 850 cases were detected and sanctioned on the spot (88 passenger buses, 196 trucks, 75 tractors, 460 cars, 46 other vehicles); sent 9,775 violation notices. There have been 585 cases showed up to settle according to the violation notice. The functional force has issued sanction decisions to 1,791 violations with a total fine of more than 3.8 billion VND, revoking driver's license with time of 553 cases, and temporarily seizing 1 vehicle.
