More than 30,000 workers affected by COVID-19 are supported

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Over the past time,
the implementation of the Government's Resolution No. 116/NQ-CP dated September
24, 2021 and the Prime Minister's Decision No. 28/2021/QD-TTg dated October 01,
2021 on the supporting policies for employees and employers affected by the
COVID-19 pandemic from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UI) in Binh Thuan
province have been implemented promptly and effectively.
According to the statistics provided
by the Provincial Social Security, from October 1, 2021 to 18:00 on October 26,
2021, the Provincial Social Security has provided cash support to 30,482
workers, of which: 26,153 employees participating and 4,329 employees quitting
jobs for reserving unemployment insurance. The total amount of support spending
is nearly 70,160 billion VND, spent 69,009 billion VND.
For the reduction of payment to the UI
Fund for employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from 1% to 0%. According
to specific statistics of the Provincial Social Security: there are 1,973 units
entitled to the reduction with the expected amount of 30,092 billion VND.
The amount of support has helped
employees to cover their lives in difficult times, and employers to have more
funds to maintain their operation and business activities, and the labor supply
chain, thereby clearly demonstrating the humanity and superiority of the
unemployment insurance policy of the Party and the State./.
