New pensions, social insurance benefits and monthly allowances are paid from August 14, 2023

Vietnam Social Security will pay new pension, social insurance allowance and
monthly allowances from August 14, 2023.
Pursuant to Decree
No. 42/2023/ND-CP dated June 29, 2023 of the Government (Decree No. 42),
Circular No. 06/2023/TT-BLDTBXH dated June 29, 2023 by the Ministry of Labor,
War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the direction of Deputy Prime
Minister Tran Hong Ha and the opinion of the MOLISA on the payment of pensions,
social insurance benefits and monthly allowances under Decree No. 42; in order
to promptly ensure the beneficiaries specified in Decree No. 42 as soon as
possible, at the payment period in August 2023, the Vietnam Social Security
will organize the payment of new pensions, social insurance benefits and
monthly allowances from August 14, 2023 (the effective date of Decree No. 42);
at the same time, fully repay the unearned excess difference of July 2023 to
the beneficiaries.
Previously, in
order to promptly ensure benefits for beneficiaries and perform assigned
functions and tasks, on July 12, 2023, Vietnam Social Security issued Official
Letter No. 2122/BHXH-CSXH to suggest MOLISA to allow the Vietnam Social
Insurance to pay benefits to subjects as prescribed in Decree No. 42 from
August 14, 2023 and repay the unearned excess difference of July 2023.
Currently,
Vietnam Social Security has continuously directed relevant units, social
insurance agencies of provinces and cities to fully prepare conditions and be
ready to deploy the payment of pensions and allowances to beneficiaries in
accordance with regulations such as: updating the Payment Management Software
for subjects who are enjoying the monthly social insurance regime; transfer the
list of payment according to regulations; coordinate with the Postal Service to
provide funding and plan to organize timely payment of new pensions to
beneficiaries from August 14.../.
