Npluvico is recalled due to quality violation

Thuan Department of Health has just requested hospitals, medical centers, medicine
trading companies, and pharmacies to recall Npluvico drugs due to level 2
quality violation.
The Drug Administration
of Vietnam has placed an announcement: Npluvico soft capsules with ingredients
of 100mg dried ginkgo leaf extract, 300mg dried dingling root extract,
manufactured by Nature Vietnam Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company; registration
number: VD-21622-14, batch number: 2004, manufacturing date: 12/5/2022 and
expiry date: 12/5/2025. The drug sample was taken at the Traditional Medicine
Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
The drug sample
results did not meet the quality standards in terms of qualitative and
quantitative indicators. With qualitative criteria, the sample contains
kaempferol, isorhamnetin and quercetin components; The ratio of pic area of
kaempferol compared to quercetin is unsatisfactory. Therefore, the sample of
Npluvico violates quality at level 2.
Accordingly, the
medical examination, treatment and medicine trading establishments shall
immediately stop trading and using the above batch of drugs, and promptly
withdraw and return them to suppliers. Inspectors of the Provincial Department
of Health shall inspect and examine drug-using and trading establishments./.
