Organizing free congenital heart disease screening for children in Binh Thuan

In order to detect and treat congenital heart disease early for poor children,
the program "Heart for Children" co-organized by Viettel Binh Thuan,
Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy, and Binh Thuan Provincial
General Hospital will organize congenital heart disease screening for children
in Binh Thuan.

27-28, 2023 at Binh Thuan General Hospital
Within the
framework of the program, all children from newborn to under 16 years old in
the province and surrounding areas with suspected congenital heart disease or
detected by doctors can contact for a free screening. After screening, all
children who are detected with heart disease and are from disadvantaged
families will be considered and approved by the Heart for Children Program to
support the cost of surgery.
Launched in
October 2008, "Heart for Children" is a humanitarian surgery program
for disadvantaged children under 16 years old funded by the Vietnamese Heart
Foundation - Vietnam Television (VTV) and the the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group.
After 15 years of implementation, the program has supported for more than 6,500
pediatric patients, organized 87 congenital heart disease screening for more
than 150,000 children across the country./.
