Over 2,000 people participating in New Year Run 2023 in Phan Thiet City

Welcome 2023 was held in the morning of January 01, at Vo Van Kiet park, Phan
Thiet city. Attending the run, there were Vice Chairman of the Provincial
People's Committee - Nguyen Minh; Deputy Director of Department of Culture,
Sports and Tourism - Huynh Ngoc Tam; together with leaders of departments, agencies,
unions and localities.
The New Year Run is meant to encourage a large number of people to
participate in physical training and sports, response to and promote the campaign
"All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; step
by step building the habit of regular exercise and sports in order to improve
the physical condition and health of everyone for study, work, production, development
and defense of the Fatherland.
It is known that New Year Run – Welcome 2023 is an activity to
celebrate the 93rd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of
Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2023). Participating in the New Year
Run, there were more than 2,000 officials, civil servants, public employees,
laborers, armed forces, students, local people and visitors. The route "New
Year Run – Welcome 2023" with a distance of 1,000m is through the central
roads of Phan Thiet city such as: Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Gia Tu, Truong Han Sieu,
Tuyen Quang...
The New Year Run is also an event to propagate and raise awareness
about the role, meaning and effects of exercise and sports in protecting and
improving people's health and quality of life, quantity of human resources;
building a healthy lifestyle and cultural environment, contributing to the
consolidation of the great unity bloc of the whole people. The New Year Run has
created a joyful and exciting atmosphere for tourists in Phan Thiet city in
particular and Binh Thuan province in general on the occasion of the New Year
2023.
