According to the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for
Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue, at Km10+620, DT.719
road, Tien Thanh commune, Phan Thiet city, there was a situation of sand
overflow caused by floods.
Specifically, at 8
p.m. on July 31, due to heavy rain in a short time, plus water and sand
concentrated in the project of Hon Gio Tourist Villas, overflowing the DT.719
at Km 10+620, causing traffic congestion in this area. As a result, sand
spilled onto the road surface from the Hon Gio Tourist Villa Project of Hoang
Khang Binh Thuan Joint Stock Company with a length of about 130m and a height
of about 0.4m, causing traffic congestion for about 30 minutes.
Immediately after the
incident, the Department of Transport mobilized forces to guide and regulate
traffic, and at the same time coordinated with the project owner of Hon Gio
tourist villas to mobilize machines and human resources to clean up the sand
spilled on the road surface and ensured circulation of traffic. By 8:30 p.m.,
on July 31, the sand spilled on the road was basically cleared and vehicles
were able to circulate normally through the above area.
Currently, the
Department of Transport was still coordinating with the project owner of the Hon
Gio Tourist Villa and relevant units to clean up the environment, and return
the route to the original condition. At the same time, continuing to monitor
the weather situation to promptly direct and handle any incident may occur.
