People should be proactive in dengue fever prevention

to this point, the province has recorded more than 680 cases of dengue fever in
9/10 localities, except Phu Quy district. Although it decreased by more than
20% compared to the same period last year, it increased rapidly compared to the
previous months, notably the number of severe dengue cases increased by nearly
39% over the same period.
Dengue fever is still
a dangerous infectious disease, there is no vaccine and no specific treatment.
Experts estimate that from now until the end of the year, if there are no
timely prevention solutions, the risk of a large-scale dengue outbreak will be
very large. Therefore, before being forced to apply health measures, people
need to strengthen and be more proactive in implementing the dengue fever prevention
measures, to contributing to control effectively the disease right from the
start.
To prevent dengue,
people need to control of mosquitoes, larvae and prevent mosquito bites by
eliminating mosquito breeding grounds, killing larvae. People with dengue fever
should use bed nets to avoid mosquito bites and spreading the disease to
others; actively coordinating with the authorities and the health sector in the
chemical sprays to prevent and control the epidemic./.
