(binhthuan.gov.vn) Executing the direction of the Provincial Party
Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on the relocation of scrap
collection and trade points out of residential areas, in the past time, Phan
Thiet City People's Committee has drastically implemented solutions to complete
successfully the relocation of scrap collection and trade facilities out of
residential areas.
However, some previous closed scrap collection and trade points has
reopened around the middle of 2022. Facing that situation, the People's
Committee of Phan Thiet city has established a working team to inspect and handle
violations with the goal of not letting any scrap collection and trade point
arise or re-operate in residential areas. According to statistics of Phan Thiet
City People's Committee, up to now, in the city, there are 13 points of
collecting and trading scrap re-operated, including: Mui Ne (04 points), Ham
Tien (05 points), Duc Long (02 points) and Tien Loi (02 points). Most of them
keep a small amount of scrap, mainly old iron, beer cans, plastic bottles,
paper, and no longer trade on a large scale as before; and are equipped with
fire protection equipment. In the coming time, Phan Thiet City People's
Committee will continue to direct relevant agencies and units to strengthen
inspection and supervision to prevent the re-operation or generation of new points
of scrap collection and trade in residential areas.
In addition, the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city also pays
attention to the relocation of industrial, handicraft production and service
facilities in residential areas. Currently, Phan Thiet city has 159 industrial
- handicraft production establishments, service establishments existing in
residential areas of 14 wards and communes. In 2022, the People's Committee of
Phan Thiet city mobilized 40 establishments to register their land use needs
with a registered area of about 19,700 m2 at the concentrated industrial,
handicraft and service point in Phan Thiet Industrial Park to set for the
relocation; 18 establishments have changed their fields or stopped their
production and business activities.
