Phan Thiet city to strengthen prevention and control of dengue fever

the situation of dengue fever in Phan Thiet city is increasing. From the
beginning of the year to June 26, 2022, this locality recorded 110 cases of
dengue fever, increased 34 cases compared to the same period in 2021 (76/110),
no severe nor death cases; There were 02 dengue fever outbreaks (Lac Dao, Mui
Ne), 5 outbreaks less than the same period in 2021.
In order to
proactively prevent and control the dengue fever epidemic from breaking out on
large scale, the City People's Committee has directed the City Health Center to
strengthen the surveillance of disease cases, analyze and assess specifically
the epidemic situation in wards and communes with dengue cases, localize the
outbreak, focus on places with old outbreaks at high risk of spreading, appoint
the epidemic treatment teams to monitor, handle timely and thoroughly the
outbreaks to prevent the epidemic from spreading.
In addition to health
work, Phan Thiet city will promote the communication, propaganda and education on
dengue fever and prevention and control measures so that people can understand
and voluntarily participate in dengue fever prevention and control activities
in the community./.
