Phan Thiet organizes "New Year’s Run and Marathon Competition – Welcome New Year 2024" on January 1, 2024

a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the New Year and celebrate the 94th
founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 -
February 3, 2024), Phan Thiet City People's Committee has just issued the
organization plan of "New Year’s Run and Marathon Competition - Welcome
New Year 2024" on January 1, 2024.
Accordingly,
the "New Year's Run" will start at 6:30 a.m. at Vo Van Kiet Park, Phu
Thuy ward, Phan Thiet city. This activity is expected to mobilize about 2,000 -
2,200 participants in the form of running and walking about 1,000m in the
route: Departing from Vo Van Kiet Park Gate (Vo Van Kiet Street) → turn left to
Nguyen Gia Tu Street → turn left to Truong Han Sieu street → turn left to Tuyen
Quang street → turn left to Vo Van Kiet street (destination at Vo Van Kiet Park
Gate).
The "Marathon Competition" will take place at 07:30 at Vo Van Kiet
Park and the surrounding streets with a distance of 3 km for women and 5 km for
men, competing in individual and team forms (each teams from 3 to 5 athletes). Specific
route as follows:
- Female: Start in
front of Vo Van Kiet Park Gate → Vo Van Kiet Street → turn right to Nguyen Gia
Tu Street → turn right to Ton Duc Thang Street → (Lotte roundabout) → turn
right to Hung Vuong Street → turn right to Nguyen Gia Tu Street → Turn right to
Vo Van Kiet Street (finish line at Vo Van Kiet Park Gate).
- Men: Start in front of Vo Van Kiet Park Gate → Vo Van
Kiet Street → turn right to Nguyen Gia Tu Street → turn right to Ton Duc Thang
Street → (Intersection of Ton Duc Thang Street - Vo Van Kiet Street) → turn
right to Vo Street Van Kiet → turn right to Nguyen Gia Tu street → turn right to
Ton Duc Thang street → (Lotte Roundabout) → turn right to Hung Vuong street →
turn right to Nguyen Gia Tu street → turn right to Vo Van Kiet street (finish
line at Vo Van Park Gate Kiet).
The
"New Year’s Run and Marathon Competition - Welcome New Year 2024" are
also the events to encourage a large number of people from all walks of life to
participate in physical training and sports, responding to and promoting the campaign
"All people taking exercise as the example of great Uncle Ho", and
the movement "Be healthy to build career and protect the country"; step
by step develop the habit of regular physical exercise... At the same time,
propagate and raise awareness about the role, meaning, and effect of physical
exercise in protecting and improving health and the quality of people's lives,
the quality of human resources; building a healthy lifestyle and cultural
environment, contributing to strengthening the great solidarity of the entire
people.
