Phan Thiet stops the operation of COVID-19 checkpoints

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to Phan Thiet City People's Committee, from 0:00 on 19/10/2021, the Covid-19 checkpoints established by the City People's Committee will be closed.

The City People's Committee assigns the City Public Security to prepare plan and direct the Traffic Police to strengthen the inspection and control of public transport vehicles entering the city; continue to implement the work of ensuring security and order, the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic in the city.

People's Committees of wards and communes continue to strictly manage the blockade areas and isolation zones. Strengthening the community supervision, promoting the role and responsibilities of the Covid community surveillance teams, promptly detecting people returning from epidemic areas for health declarations and medical isolation according to regulations.

On 15/10/2021, the City People's Committee issued Dispatch No. 5750/UBNDYT on the operation of checkpoints in the city; Accordingly, maintaining 03 checkpoints at the bridges across Ca Ty river and gateways in the south of the city to control and limit traffics between the very high-risk areas and the rest of the city.

Up to now, the screening tests in red areas has been completed, as well as the city has focused on speeding up the vaccination schedule for high-risk areas and high-risk groups. The shutdown of the checkpoints aims to implement in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP of the Government on the temporary regulation of "Safe and flexible adaptation, effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic", proceeding to apply solutions to facilitate the restoration of production - business and socio-economic development, bringing people's life back to a new normal state.
