Phan Thiet strictly handles violations of the law on firecrackers

According to the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city, over the past time, all
levels and agencies in the city have effectively implemented regulations on the
management and use of firecrackers; the illegal acts of producing, trading,
transporting, storing and using firecrackers have been promptly detected and
handled by the functional forces, contributing to ensure the security and order
situation in the area. However, the situation of violating the provisions of
the law on management and use of firecrackers is still complicated, the number
of violations being handled by the authority is still small compared to
reality.
In the coming time,
the situation of illegal trading, transportation, storage and use of
firecrackers and explosives is forecasted to continue to be complicated,
especially illegal fireworks on the occasion of New Year's Day and Lunar New Year
2022 and the early spring festivals. The Chairman of the City People's
Committee Phan Thiet has directed the heads of agencies, units, unions of the
city, the Chairman of the People's Committees of wards and communes to urgently
propagate the provisions of the law on firecrackers; at the same time, to
participate in objections, comments, orientation of people's perception towards
the use of firecrackers; accordingly, people are only allowed to use fireworks
(no explosions) and can only buy fireworks from organizations and businesses
that are allowed to produce and trade fireworks. At the same time, establishing
the interdisciplinary inspection teams to handle violations of firecrackers in the
hot and complicated areas of firecracker situation. In particular, it is
necessary to establish the working groups led by the Chairpersons of the
People's Committees of wards and communes to inspect the prevention and control
of firecrackers in each neighborhood and village before, during and after the
New Year's Eve in 2022.
In addition, the
city's functional units shall coordinate with the Market Surveillance Agency to
strengthen the inspection in order to detect business establishments, grocery
stores, and small business households in the market areas that commit illegal acts
of storing, trading, transporting firecrackers for strictly sanctioning in
accordance with the law.
