in the context of implementing city-wide social distancing.
Accordingly, the estimated
amount of essential goods needed for serving the people of Phan Thiet city,
about 215,666 people, in a period of 30 days include: 3,881 tons of Rice; 292
tons meat of all kinds; 3,234,990
poultry eggs; 32,349 kg of salt and
monosodium glutamate; 107,833
liters of soy sauce and fish sauce; 336
tons of seafood (fresh, frozen); 292
tons of processed food; 1,617
tons of vegetables and fruits; 12,939
thousand packages of products processed from cereals (instant noodles, instant
porridge, dried food,...); 1,078,330
antibacterial face masks, 173 thousand bottles of antiseptic liquid.
In order to ensure the
supply of essential goods serving people, CoopMart Phan Thiet has stockpiled
essential goods at the warehouse for 07 billion VND, daily replenishment of 2
billion VND. Focusing on face masks,
rice, instant noodles, processed foods (canned foods of all kinds), milk,
confectionery, spices (soy sauce, fish sauce, monosodium glutamate...),
vegetables, paper towels, washing powder, dishwashing liquid... the volume of
goods has increased from 2 to 3 times compared to before the epidemic. In addition, the system of Coop-Food
convenience stores (3 stores) located in Phan Thiet city will ensure the
sufficiency of goods, and timely serve people. Lotte
Mart Phan Thiet supermarket has stockpiled for 07 billion VND in inventory,
focusing on food items, fresh foods, processed foods, vegetables, canned milk,
face masks, etc., the inventory is imported daily with
a volume of 2-3 tons of goods, which is fully and timely assurance. Bach Hoa Xanh Trading Joint Stock
Company - Phan Thiet Branch has a chain of 09 stores distributed in the areas,
with full and abundant goods will meet the needs of consumers. The Branch
imports goods daily and regulates goods continuously between the stores so that
it is not passive when out of stock locally (if any), the essential goods are
always available in stock at 10 tons/store, importing daily from 2 - 2.5

The City People's Committee
encourages the distribution of essential goods via online sales to limit the
gathering of people, inadequate to the requirements of epidemic prevention and

In addition, to implement
the mobile sales program for promptly supplying food and essential products to
meet the people's consumption and shopping needs, People's Committees of wards
and communes will choose places to set up mobile sales counters (points) with one-way
out, threading, and reticle to ensure the distance and the epidemic prevention as
regulations. Coordinating with Coop Mart,
Lotte Mart and Branch of Bach Hoa Xanh Trading Joint Stock Company in Binh
Thuan bringing goods, equipment and human resources to supply the essential
goods in the areas, prioritizing for
densely populated areas.
For Phan Thiet market and other markets in
the city, the small traders are allowed to sale the essential goods and
necessities, specifically: food items (rice, noodles, meat, eggs, seafood,
vegetables, fruits, instant noodles, instant products...), drinking water,
processed milk, necessities (toilet paper, detergents, disinfectants, soaps
of all kinds…). Small businesses dealing in
remaining items will temporarily suspend until further notice.
The
City People's Committee assigns the Phan Thiet Market Management Board and the
Market Management Boards of the wards and communes to apply the one-way out
plan, separating the sales areas in the markets and coordinating with the
People's Committees of the relevant wards and communes to organize and arrange
forces to set up checkpoints at market entrances to control strictly people entering
and leaving the market, requiring buyers and sellers to wear face masks and
keep a safe distance of at least 2 meters; rearranging the counters and stalls in order to minimize
the gathering of people; strengthening the market cleaning to ensure cleanliness
and ventilation. The Market Management Board must immediately shut
down any business not complying with COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
Particularly, the
establishments and shops dealing in non-essential goods particularly shall
suspend the operation at their stores, switch to selling goods online or via
phone in urgent cases. All units
must ensure their employees to implement strictly the epidemic prevention and
control at work.
