Phan Thiet to implement the management measures for boats engaged in fishing activities

order to implement promptly and effectively COVID-19 prevention and control in
fishing activities, the People's Committee of Phan Thiet city said that all
boats and ships of fishermen in wards and communes of the city will be allowed
to return to fishing activities, except for areas under medical isolation
according to the Decisions of the People's Committee of city, wards and
communes.
In which, the means of boats allowed
for fishing activities must ensure the conditions for epidemic prevention and
control. Specifically, for ships and
boats departing, the vehicle owner or captain is responsible for registration
of operations with the Epidemic Checkpoint of Phan Thiet Fishing Port, Phu Hai
Border Guard Control Station, and Mui Mui Border Guard Control Station. Submitting
the list of crew members (certified by the People's Committee of the ward or
commune where the captain or vehicle owner resides). Note
that, the crew members must have a test certificate with negative result for
SARS-CoV-2 issued by a competent authority (within 03 days). Do
not arbitrarily change crew members during exploitation process, do not pair
alongside with other vehicles, or do not enter other localities during the
course of practice at sea.
For the operation of loading
and unloading seafood after exploitation, the Management Units of Fishing Port,
People’s Committees of wards, communes (where there is no management unit of
fishing port) shall develop specific plans, in the orientation of strictly
managing loading and unloading labor at the ports (Regularly making quick test
for COVID-19, and wearing face masks, disinfecting, limiting travel and
contact, etc…). The
drivers and vehicles transporting aquatic products (trucks) must follow the
instructions on transporting essential goods under epidemic prevention and
control conditions issued by the Department of Transport.
For
fishing vehicles with the length of less than 6m allowed for fishing
exploitation at sea, the crew must has a test certificate with negative result
for SARS-CoV-2 issued by a competent authority (no longer than 07 days).
The City People's Committee
assigns the People's Committees of wards and communes with fisheries to take
strict management measures to ensure the requirements of epidemic prevention
and control. Before departing, vehicle
owners must register their activities and be certified by the People's
Committees of wards and communes for inspection when they pass through border
checkpoints (with the attached form). When
docking at the wharf to load and unload seafood products, boat owners must
comply with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control./.
