The Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has just
issued a plan to manage COVID-19 infected people at home. This plan replaces Plan
no. 4228/PA-BCD dated November 9, 2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for
COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The home management
plan for COVID-19 infected people is developed with the aim of providing
guidelines and regulations on the management, support and care for people infected
by SARS-CoV-2 and mild COVID-19 patients at home.
According to the
plan, on the conditions to determine the COVID-19 infected person to be treated
at home: Being a person infected by COVID-19 (confirmed to have SARS-CoV-2
infection by real-time RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test according to
regulations) has no clinical symptoms or has mild clinical symptoms, such as
fever, dry cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, fatigue, headache, myalgia,
numbness of the tongue; diarrhea, runny nose, loss of smell, loss of taste; no
signs of pneumonia or hypoxia; breathing rate < 20 breaths/minute; SpO2 >
96% when breathing; no abnormal breathing such as moaning, chest indrawing,
nasal flapping, wheezing, wheezing during inspiration; having no underlying
disease, or underlying disease on stable treatment.
The plan also clearly
specifies the requirements for people COVID-19 infected people to be isolated
for treatment at home and people who live in the same house; specifying the
duties of commune, ward and township health stations to manage COVID-19 infected
people at home; COVID-19 testing process to end quarantine; Specific tasks of
each Department and agencies in organizing the implementation./.
